We’re expanding and upgrading the Seaford Kindergarten, Maternal and Child Health and Youth Services.

This will provide more space and newer facilities for everyone accessing these important services.

The Victorian Government has announced changes to funded kindergarten, allowing three-year-old children to access 15 hours and four-year-old children to access 30 hours of pre-prep. To accommodate the increased hours, Seaford kindergarten will undergo an expansion, and the renewal will include the existing Maternal and Child Health and Youth service that are also on site.

Demolition and construction are planned for 2025, ready for the new kindergarten in 2026. The existing Kindergarten will operate from the Kananook kindergarten during this period.

Your feedback will help us design a new Seaford Child, Youth and Family Centre that:

  • Meets the health and education needs of local children, young people and families, by providing a range of programs and services including funded kindergarten for 3 and 4-year-olds.
  • Responds to and enhances the unique neighbourhood character that locals love, with a custom-built centre, new trees and gardens, and improved car parking.
  • Celebrates and honours the history of the existing building within the new build.
