What is happening?
The Victorian Government is proposing to remove the level crossings at Armstrongs Road and Station Street in Seaford by constructing two separate rail bridges, removing the need for boom gates.
The project will deliver a new, modern and accessible Seaford Station, alongside opportunities for improved public spaces, car parking, and walking and cycling connections.
Early designs are available for the new elevated station and rail bridges and the Victorian Government wants to hear from the local community to help refine these designs.

What is Council's role in this?
Seaford Connected – advocating alongside our community
This Seaford Level Crossing Removal Project presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to not only to remove two dangerous and congested level crossings, but to reshape Seaford as a safer, better connected and more liveable coastal community.
That’s why Council is working closely with the Victorian Government to shape the planning and delivery of the project in the best interests of the local community. To support this work, Council has developed Seaford Connected, a project approach grounded in extensive local engagement that reflects community expectations for improved safety, connectivity, high-quality public spaces, environmental protection, and a design that genuinely reflects Seaford’s unique coastal character.
