Why host an event?

Hosting an event at the Frankston Seniors Festival is a fantastic chance to showcase your club, group, or organisation to an engaged and enthusiastic community. With more than 2,000 attendees in 2025 and overwhelmingly positive feedback, the festival offers a proven platform to connect, promote, and make a lasting impression.

Event criteria

  • Event to take place between 5–31 October 2026
  • Be held within the City of Frankston
  • Be designed for people aged 60 and over
  • Be low cost or free to attend
  • The respective organisation must take all bookings and inquiries relating to the event. A telephone number must be supplied for this purpose
  • If your event is cancelled, it’s the clubs/groups responsibility to notify Council and registered participants
  • You agree to provide attendee numbers and other relevant data as well as photographs of your event

Seniors Festival Support Funds

Eligible organisations may apply for up to $300 to support their Seniors Festival event. Funding must be used for expenses directly related to the event. Only one funding allocation is available per organisation.

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • Not-for-profit
  • Non-political
  • Hold an Australian Business Number or be able to provide a Statement by Supplier Form from the Australian Tax Office. If your organisation isn’t incorporated and not registered as a not-for-profit legal entity, you will require an auspice who is one or both of those things.

Funding will be distributed AFTER the event and only upon submission of a completed Tax Invoice Template.

You also agree to provide attendee numbers and other relevant data as well as photographs of your event.

Frankston City Council is committed to protecting your privacy.
