Project Update
About the project
Wingham Park is located on Ashleigh Avenue in Frankston, next to Karingal Place.
In 2020, Council applied for funding from the Victorian State Government to create a Seniors’ Activity Space at Wingham Reserve. While other locations in Frankston have outdoor fitness equipment, Wingham Park was chosen specifically to cater for seniors due to the proximity of Karingal Place.
Key features of the design include:
- Fitness equipment that caters for specific senior-focused objectives including accessibility, balance, dexterity and agility.
- Outdoor deck and floor activity space.
- Improved park amenity including new seating, drinking fountain, garden beds and trees.
- Improved accessibility including path improvements and accessible car parking.
Wingham Park Seniors’ Activity Space is being developed by Frankston City Council in partnership with the Victorian Government.
We are seeking your input into the proposed Seniors' Outdoor Activities area and design concept at Wingham Park.
