The details
The Youth Action Plan is a roadmap for how Council will:
- Support young people in Frankston City
- Deliver youth programs and activities
- Work with community groups and services
- Advocate for young people on important issues
It's about making sure young people's voices are part of decision making - not just now, but into the future.
Because you know what it's like to be a young person in Frankston City - and your experience matters.
Getting involved means you can:
- Share what's working well (and what isn't)
- Talk about the issues affecting young people
- Help decide what should be prioritised
- Influence the actions Council takes from 2027-2031
You don't need any special knowledge or experience. Just your honest thoughts.
You can get involved if you are:
- Aged 12-24
- Living, studying, working or spending time in Frankston City
Adults, parents, carers and community members can also share feedback - but this Plan is centred on young people's voices.
We're designing this engagement with young people in mind.
That means:
- The engagement runs for 6 weeks so there's time to get involved
- Activities are short, simple and accessible
- You don't have to read long reports - we'll give you the key info
- We'll track who's taking part and do more outreach if needed
- You can take part online or in person
We'll report back to the community by:
- Sharing a summary of what we heard within 4 weeks of the engagement closing
- Explaining how your feedback influenced the final Plan
- Updating the community once the Plan is adopted by Council
- Sharing updates during the life of the Plan
We're committed to closing the loop.
