The policy establishes a framework for applying, assessing and approving commemorative fixtures in public spaces managed by the Council.

It acknowledges contributions to the municipality and ensures tributes are meaningful, appropriate, and consistent with Council values and legislative requirements. The policy covers both minor and major recognition fixtures, as well as temporary roadside memorials and vigils.

Your input will help refine the policy before it is presented to Council for adoption. We invite you to review the draft Commemorative Memorial Fixtures Policy and provide feedback by 11.59pm 3 May 2026
