Key Direction 4: Strengthen the built form character
New development should be encouraged across the City Centre to revitalise the streets and public spaces.
High quality built form will enhance the skyline, better activate streetscapes and increase social and economic activity by providing opportunities for more people to live within the heart of Frankston City.
Built form controls (such as height ranges, minimising overshadowing, widening promenades, managing sensitive interfaces, such as Kananook Creek, and locations for new mid-block links) are needed to provide guidance for developers and the community to lead to better development outcomes.
