Safe Community workshop occurring 2 April 2022

We are meeting with community members for our face-to-face workshop to discuss your concerns and ideas to make Frankston City safer.

When?

Saturday 2nd April:

  • 10.00am-12.30pm: Workshop facilitated by Conversation Co.
  • 12.30-1.30pm: Free lunch (optional).

Where?

Lyrebird Community Centre

Why should you attend?

  • Share your experiences of safety in your local community, and why they matter.
  • Join a discussion group on one of the following topics to give your feedback and ideas:
    • Emergency preparedness, response and recovery.
    • Safety in public places and spaces in Frankston City.
    • Addressing harm from alcohol and other drugs, gambling, road trauma violence and crime.
    • Family violence, intimate partner violence, elder abuse.
    • Reducing homelessness – in particular rough-sleeping homelessness.
    • Creating inclusive and well connected communities where everyone feels welcome.
  • Contribute your ideas and vision for a safer community. Your input will inform our Safe Community Policy and Strategy.

This in-person workshop will follow current COVID guidelines set by the State Government, and requires all participants to show evidence of their vaccination status or a valid medical exemption.
