What to expect

Frankston City Council is facilitating a drop-in discussion with the local community at Long Street Reserve on Tuesday, 7 February from 6-7pm.

This event provides residents the opportunity to learn more about the two proposed designs for a new kindergarten and Maternal Child Health Service at Long Street Reserve in Langwarrin.

Council staff, including members of the kindergarten project team, will be available to answer questions and take feedback at information booths covering four key areas of the project. While we have received many questions about the project, feedback has focused on these key areas:

  1. Project context and background
  2. Location selection criteria
  3. Traffic and movement
  4. Natural habitat and environment.

Please note that Council will not be giving a formal presentation at the event.

How will my feedback be used?

Our primary focus is collecting your feedback, either online or at the event. All feedback provided in our online survey, additional online activities below, or discussions in-person will be recorded by Council and analysed in our engagement report.

If we cannot answer your questions at the event, or if you have follow-up questions or feedback after the event, please email ChildrensServices@frankston.vic.gov.au.

While Council staff can take objections at the event, concerned residents are encouraged to instead lodge their objections via email at ChildrensServices@frankston.vic.gov.au.

For anyone unable to attend the event, our online survey is open until 26 March 2023.

We have also added more online opportunities to provide more detailed feedback on traffic and movement, and the Reserve's natural features below.

Council staff look forward to having a conversation with you about this project at the event on Tuesday, 7 February.

For any questions on the event, please email ChildrensServices@frankston.vic.gov.au.
