About the Project

Willow Park is a small local park located at 9R Willow Road, Frankston. The park is located next to Bayview Pre-School.

The Frankston City Council Play Strategy 2021 recommends creating a welcoming community park with a play space for younger children, park amenity such as seating, drinking fountain and new trees.

In May to June 2022 we asked the community to review draft concept plans for this play space and provide feedback.

Project Update: August – December 2023

We’re upgrading Willow Park, Frankston, by providing nature play and new play equipment for younger children, as well as facilities the whole family can enjoy, including a picnic shelter and table, seating, drinking fountain, landscaping, and new paths.

Nearby Bayview Pre-School will also benefit from new access points to the play space from their centre.

Works will kick off in August and the new play space will be open in time for Christmas.

The upgrade is one of the outcomes of Council’s Play Strategy, which recommends creating a welcoming community park with a play space for younger children.

The $350,000 upgrade is fully funded by Council and we’re proud to be able to provide these new facilities for the community.
