About the project

Yarralumla Reserve is located on Yarralumla Drive in Langwarrin. It is the only playground in its catchment area. The Reserve is located near the corner of Cranbourne-Frankston Road and mainly surrounded by residential properties. The park contains significant indigenous and native trees and is a relatively large open space.

The Frankston City Play Strategy (2021) recommends a design and upgrade of the play space for improved play, amenity and accessibility.

We have prepared a draft concept plan to illustrate proposed improvements at Yarralumla Reserve including:

  • The construction of a new play space;
  • New paths and better connections;
  • New park fencing;
  • Picnic shelter;
  • New park furniture including seating, drinking fountain and picnic tables;
  • New trees and garden plantings.
