What is the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Network?

Frankston City Council is currently looking to establish a new Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) network. We want to strengthen Council’s communication and ensure their voice is represented in our decision making.

All interested residents are encouraged to apply; however, we are especially interested in applicants who:

• Are from a CALD background
• Work with CALD communities
• Are a young person from a CALD background
• Support people from CALD backgrounds

Selection Criteria

All CALD Network members should:

• Have a connection to Frankston City (i.e. live, work, study or recreate in Frankston City).
• Have knowledge and understanding of the needs and issues impacting CALD communities.
• Have an interest and understanding of local government services and programs from a CALD perspective.
• Be available and committed to attend scheduled meetings and respond to Council emails.
